Ravi Zacharias - False Prophet

By Craig from Scotland

Ravi Zacharias       I had heard recently about this chap - Ravi Zacharias.  He is a 'tele-evangelist', does tours, radio shows, runs a 'Ravi Zacharias International Ministries' - with a net worth of some $7.5 million dollars. (source)

Fortunately, such 'tele-evangelists' and the like haven't fully spread across the world.  For whatever reason or other, his main audience is American, but still - he has a large audience, and a large sum of money to boot!  We know that man cannot serve two masters - God and mammon (Matthew 6:24), but here we are with someone who does the rounds amongst 'evangelicals', somehow making a fortune, let's take a quick look at him;

Ravi's False Claim 1: 'Ravi Zacharias who became a Christian at the age of 17 after a suicide attempt brought him face to face with the Bible.'

Ravi's Conversion story: 'This may be my only hope: A new way of living. Life as defined by the Author of Life." and that he committed his life to Christ praying, "Jesus if You are the one who gives life as it is meant to be, I want it. Please get me out of this hospital bed well, and I promise I will leave no stone unturned in my pursuit of truth."'

So what does this mean?  Note the bold in the conversion story - Zacharias never accepted Jesus as his saviour - his 'conversion' story is that he would consider the possibility of Jesus being a saviour - and ALSO - there is no mention of Jesus being THE Messiah, the only son of God in the flesh, and NO MENTION of believing the GOSPEL - Which is that JESUS DIED on the cross for our sins, was BURIED and bodily ROSE on the third day!

'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9

'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' - John 3:16

'Jesus answered and said unto them, 'This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.'' John 6:29

Ravi Zacharias - as his conversion story - his testimony shows, does not BELIEVE in JESUS, or on that also, that God RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD - sadly, Ravi, going from his testimony, is not converted, for he is only going on the 'possibility' and looking for the 'truth' - many people do that in many walks of life, and are not saved because they do not come to find or ACCEPT the truth, by believing on JESUS and JESUS alone for salvation.

'Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' - John 14:16

That means that the ONLY way to HEAVEN is through JESUS, and JESUS alone, not an 'open to the possibility' or a 'consideration' or a 'looking for the truth', but a believing on HIM alone.

His conversion story is not one of accepting that Jesus, the begotten son of God, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and bodily risen, but more so an intellectual exercise of 'maybe', 'I'll have a look'.

Worldview

'Zacharias states that a coherent worldview must be able to satisfactorily answer four questions: that of origin, meaning of life, morality and destiny. He says that while every major religion makes exclusive claims about truth, the Christian faith is unique in its ability to answer all four of these questions.[42] He routinely speaks on the coherence of the Christian worldview,[43] saying that Christianity is capable of withstanding the toughest philosophical attacks.[44] Zacharias believes that the apologist must argue from three levels: the theoretical, to line up the logic of the argument; the arts, to illustrate; and "kitchen table talk", to conclude and apply.[45] Zacharias' style of apologetic focuses predominantly on Christianity's answers to life's great existential questions,[46] with defense of God.' (source)

You don't really have to read all the way through his worldview, basically it comprises of this:

'Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,'  - Romans 1:22

Ravi's worldview basically is summed up by philosophical discussions, moral discussions, discussions amongst 'intellectuals' of this world, it's not the simplicity that's in Christ, but an armchair exercise as if it's some philosophy, there's no mention of Hell, or false doctrines, or how to go to Heaven.

Ravi's False Claim 2: Mormons are saved, "the home that our heavenly Father has prepared for you and for me."

On speaking to Mormons, he said this,

“It's good to be home! How much more the home that our heavenly Father has prepared for you and for me, and the Lord Jesus said, He was heading there to prepare that place for you and for me. What hope! What hope that fills the soul!” source: YouTube Link
I don't mean to be unkind here, but rather, truthful, when Mormons claim to believe in 'Jesus' - they are talking about a DIFFERENT JESUS!!!!!!  Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers, that God is not GOD but a god, that people and Jesus came from a different planet (yes, interstellar travel) called Elohim, that black people became black because they didn't fight for Jesus, that they -  Mormons will be given their own planets too, and that Mormons will become equal to God - yes - they are absolutely crazy and Satanic - Mormonism is a CULT!!!! And has NOTHING do with Christianity.  To justify this junk they even wrote their own bible, the book of Mormon - although, not surprisingly, it was written by a 33rd degree Freemason - yes - a FREEMASON - Joseph Smith.  It's sci-fi made up nonsense, just like Jehovah's Witnesses, just like the actor Tom Cruise's Church of Scientology (which actually WAS written by a sci-fi author Ron L. Hubbard), with 'Dharma' - Buddhism added at Hubbard's request - in order to make money.

You can be sure Mr. Intellectual, Ravi, is fully aware of this, yet in knowing this, preposterously embraces Mormons, wishing them God speed!!!!!!!!  One may have words of excuses, but to proceed like that while knowing fully what Mormons believe -  there are no justifications for that, unless one just sees it as a point of intellectual discourse, a paycheck et cetera.

Ravi's Fruitless Intellectual Message Leaves the Common Man in the Dust

Here's just one of hundreds of complicated quotes from the preceding sermon made by Ravi Zacharias that loses the crowd totally...

“Just like philosophers try to argue against causality by hitting against the cosmological argument. They try to argue against design by hitting against the etiological argument...”

SOURCE: Dr. Ravi Zacharias, speaking to reprobate Mormons

I thank God for grammatically-challenged country preachers who say “be” instead of “is,” and “ain't” instead of “was,” but they say it like it is! I'll tell you what, I know what the old-fashioned Baptist country preacher is trying to say, loud and clear; but Ravi Zacharias leaves people in the mud, while he preaches in the stratosphere over their heads. Thank God for sensible men like Evangelist Billy Sunday...

“I want to preach the gospel so plainly that men can come from the factories and not have to bring along a dictionary.” —SOURCE: William T. Ellis,  “BILLY SUNDAY: THE MAN AND HIS MESSAGE,” p. 58; Moody Press, ©1959; ISBN: 0-8024-0042-6.

We don't need more edurcated Bible college wannabe-scholars in the pulpit today, we need simple men who put the cookie-jar on the bottom shelf where the common man can reach it!

“I am preaching for the age in which I live. I am just recasting my vocabulary to suit the people of my age instead of Joshua's age.” SOURCE: William T. Ellis,  “BILLY SUNDAY: THE MAN AND HIS MESSAGE,” p. 61; Moody Press, ©1959; ISBN: 0-8024-0042-6.

Ravi Zacharias preaches to intellectuals, and I seriously doubt if they can make sense of what he says. 1st Corinthians 3:19, “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.” Let me quote Ravi's ridiculous terminology to you once again dear reader. ...

“Just like philosophers try to argue against causality by hitting against the cosmological argument. They try to argue against design by hitting against the etiological argument...”

Who talks that way? Common people don't talk that way. I have a 4-year earned bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology from Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993) and I have absolutely no idea what Ravi just said! I love Billy Sunday's attitude. I want to preach in such simple words that the common man doesn't need to bring a dictionary to grasp what I am saying. Here's the kind of Spirit-filled preaching that gets people saved...

“Repentance don't save you. Calling on the Lord don't save you. You know what saves you? Receiving what Christ done for you on the cross!” —Pastor Danny Castle, a quote from the needful MP3 sermon, "WHY THERE'S A HELL!

Amen, hallelujah! Praise God for grammatically-challenged country preachers who say “ain't” instead of “is,” and “be” instead of “was,” but the common man knows exactly what is being preached from the Holy Bible!

“There is power in this Gospel message. Most people just don't know how to
present it... The clarity of the Gospel is what makes it easy for them to believe.”

—Pastor Yankee Arnold, a quote from the excellent MP3 sermon titled, “

Conclusion

It seems like the most obvious thing in the world to know, that Ravi Zacharias is an unsaved false prophet, looking to lead people AWAY from the truth, and build up 'ecumenism' with unsaved people, people who even reject Christ - it's crazy but there are somehow Christians out there who buy into this guy! - and others like them.  Zacharias is simply just an exercise in philosophy, and not a defence of the faith or a spreading of the message on how to become a Christian,

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
