Me and my wife met with Pastor Brad Moffett at the shameful Family Baptist Church in
Pensacola on April 30th, 2025. He called us into his office for what we
thought would be marriage counseling. Instead, he changed his mind without
saying anything to us and proceeded to censure my website ministry. The
pastor for about an hour criticized my fundamentalist Bible
preaching on social media against women wearing pants. The pastor said that
both his wife and mother wear pants. In my humble opinion, that brings reproach to
the name of Christ.
The things that their pastor Brad Moffett (and his verbally abusive father at times Bobby Moffett) say, reflect upon the church. During the unpleasant meeting, Pastor Brad had printed out several dozen pages from my ministry websites. He held up an article that I wrote in May of 2019 titled, “Why A Christian Lady Ought Not Wear Pants.” He quoted something from the article that Pastor Jack Hyles truthfully said: “I don't have a dirty mind, I have a man's mind.” Pastor Brad then said that he doesn't have a problem with lusting upon women who wear pants. He said that if a man walks in the Spirit, he won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh. He said with this biblical truth in mind, it shouldn't matter if a woman wears pants in public.
Dear reader, in my humble thinking Pastor Brad is incompetent as a pastor because of things like this. He couldn't be more wrong in this matter. I don't care how much a man walks in the Holy Spirit (who indwells every born again believer), a man will not be thinking about the hymn “Amazing Grace” or John 3:16 if he sees a pretty young woman wearing a hot pair of sexy pants. I think it is shameful for any pastor, including Pastor Brad, to defend a Christian woman's right to wear pants in public. It just sadly shows how much the world has influenced and infiltrated the churches today. Get mad at me if you want to, kindly said, but in my humble opinion Pastor Brad is henpecked by his wife.
Furthermore, Pastor Brad said these things in front of my wife, which was as low class as possible. Pastor Brad Moffett was foolish for slandering Pastor Jack Hyles. Both me and me wife Alice were saved under Pastor Hyles' soulwinning ministry at age 13. Brad Moffett lost much of our respect the moment he slandered our hero of the Christian faith, Dr. Jack Hyles. When Brother Hyles went to Heaven in 2001, Brad was 13 years old. So, Brad knows nothing except the things he has heard or seen from others. I am defending my good friend, Pastor Jack Hyles! I am not aware of anything improper that Brother Hyles ever taught on sex and marriage that harmed any families, let alone many families.
Moreover, Family Baptist Church's pastor and his father (who is also a pastor) are wrong on Bible repentance. Like a man who wrongly buttons a dress-shirt, if you get the first button wrong, the other buttons will also be wrong. You simply cannot and should not trust the theology of any pastor who is wrong on the matter of repentance to get to Heaven. Bible repentance to be saved never means to “repent of your sins,” it means a change of mind. You change your mind to believe the Gospel.
Pastor Brad also wickedly bids Godspeed to infidel Ken Ham, who preaches another gospel. Brad is now teaching from Answers-In-Genesis (which is Ken Ham's ministry) to his congregation. That misleads people to think that Ken Ham is okay to follow. God's curse is upon anyone who corrupts the Gospel, and also upon anyone who bids that false prophet God speed (2nd John 1:11).
Although everyone has a right to their own opinion, no one has a right to their own facts! The Gospel is clearly laid out in the inspired Word of God in 1st Corinthians 15:1-6. No one has a right to altar, embellish or change God's simple plan of salvation. Lordship Salvation is of the Devil. Family Baptist Church wickedly bids Godspeed to Billy and Franklin Graham's corrupt ministry, partaking of Operation Christmas Child (OCC). In every box that OCC ships to poor children in third world countries, they include a toxic religious brochure that teaches the Devil's fraud of Lordship Salvation. Shame on Family Baptist Church for caring more about helping the poor, than they do about contending for the Christian faith (Jude 1:3). It is wickedness!!!
Pastor Jack Hyles by God's grace is responsible for the salvation of millions of people, including me and my beloved wife Alice. Revelation 12:10b identifies Satan as "the accuser of the brethren." I am thankful to have known Pastor Jack Hyles for the 8 years that I gratefully attended Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993), who is one of the greatest Christians I have ever known.
Our humble feeling is that Brad Moffett and his father are losers, who are envious of Pastor Hyles' success. Neither Brad nor his annoying father are worthy to shine Dr. Jack Hyles' shoes! Brother Hyles was not a carnally-minded man because he honestly said that he had a man's mind rather than a dirty mind, explaining why it is wrong for women to wear pants in public. The truth is that Dr. Hyles was a HIGH STANDARDS preacher, but new evangelical losers are LOW STANDARDS worldly fools. Most of the females at Family Baptist Church wear pants to church on Sundays. That is the pastor's fault for not preaching against immodesty. In my humble opinion that is very shameful and dishonoring to the Lord.
And may I say once again, during the 45 months that I attended Family Baptist Church in Pensacola, I never once made an issue of any woman in the church who wore pants. It's none of my business and I couldn't care less who wears what. But it was Pastor Brad on April 30th, 2025, in his office, in front of both me and my wife, who made a big fuss over my website ministry, specifically my biblical preaching against Christian ladies who wear pants in public. They drew first blood!
I am a fundamentalist Baptist Bible preacher, which means that I have a God-given duty to preach the truth. You cannot ruffle a preacher's feathers and expect him to remain silent on such an important issue as modesty. It just ain't gonna happen. Pastor Brad should have let sleeping dogs lay, but he didn't, he decided to make an issue of my Bible preaching against women wearing pants. 1st Timothy 2:9 is the only passage of Scripture that I need to prove from the Bible that women ought not wear pants in public. In 1900 you couldn't find a woman in the United States who wore a pair of pants in public. That is because we still had some decency and high moral standards in this country back then, which are gone in the 21st century.
I realize that this is a matter of he said, she said, but we know what we heard Pastor Brad say in his office to us on April 30th. Pastor Brad made it very clear to us that he thinks Pastor Jack Hyles ruined a bunch of families in his church and college, by teaching wrong things concerning sex and marriage. Brad said that those families went into sexual immorality and divorce because of Dr. Hyles. If he denies that he said these things, then he is a liar! I say that kindly, but truthfully.
Me and Alice were there at the First Baptist Church of Hammond for several years, serving in their ministry in the 1980's and 1990's. Alice was saved on one of their church buses in Chicago in 1975. We were there at Hyles-Anderson College for 8 years! I graduated with honors in 1993. So, we know what went on. In sharp contrast, Brad Moffett never sat for one second in either place! Shame on Pastor Brad Moffett for talking trash about Pastor Jack Hyles!!!
