Galatians 1:6-7, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”
BEWARE of Pastor Charles Lawson, he denies a free grace Gospel. In his heretical
sermon titled, "True Repentance," he errantly teaches that Bible repentance is
MORE than a change of mind. Uh, no, that is blatant false teaching. The Greek
noun metanoia simply means "a change of mind." Since the Bible doesn't tell us
what to change our mind about, we need supplemental information to know what to
change our mind about, which can only be determined by the particular Scripture
text.
We are told in Jonah 3:10 that God repented. Dr. Lawson says that you must
repent of your sins to forsake them to be save, but is God a sinner? God changed
His mind not to destroy Nineveh. Pastor Lawson has been corrupted by listening
to other corrupt preachers. Lawson is a two point Calvinist! He is wrong on
God's simple plan of Salvation. In his sermon Lawson slanders Pastor Jack Hyles,
wrongly accusing him of "leaving off repentance," which is a blatant lie. Dr.
Hyles taught repentance, but he didn't ascribe to the lie that repentance means
to forsake your sinful bad habits to receive God's free gift.
The only sin that can keep you out of Heaven is unbelief, so unbelief is the
only sin you must turn from to be saved. Charles Lawson says:
"The Bible colleges around the country will stand at the Judgment Seat of
Christ, and give an account for removing repentance from salvation and
conversion. How can you be saved if you're not willing to repent. Salvation is
not believing a bunch of stuff about Christ." —Charles Lawson, sermon: "True

Uh, yes, salvation is BELIEVING the Gospel. When a needy sinner accepts Christ's
sacrifice on the cross as full payment for his or her sins, believing that Jesus
was buried, but then resurrected from the dead three days later, they are
instantly and forever saved. Nothing more is required or allowed. Faith is the
only righteous thing I can do.
A changed life is the "fruit" of the indwelling Holy Spirit, if a saint of God
chooses to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25). Behavior modification has
NOTHING to do with receiving God's free gift of eternal life which Jesus paid
for with His blood on Calvary's cross. Although Dr. Lawson denies Lordship
Salvation, he is in fact guilty of preaching a form of it himself, requiring
that you be willing to turn away from your sinning to be saved. That is NOT what
the inspired King James Bible teaches. You'd have to use one of Satan's corrupt
Bible perversions to find that garbage. Salvation is of the Lord, without
self-righteous works.
Salvation is not a reward for the righteous,
it is a gift for the guilty.
Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your
account through receiving Him by faith.
Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. Faith puts all of the merit
where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work.
If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus
already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting
from?
The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to
YOU.
If salvation is truly by grace, then you don't need to start or stop
anything to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift from God (Romans 6:23).
One is saved by God's grace through faith in the finished Work of His Son on
the Cross as payment in full as our pardon for sin.
