Don't Risk Going To Hell Fire Forever

 By David J. Stewart | October 2014

Revelation 20:14-15, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

It's been said that Hell is truth seen too late! That will be the horrifying reality for most people when they die, as it was for the rich man in Luke 16:19-31 who died and woke up in the fires and torments of Hell. The national anthem of Hell is singer Frank Sinatra's life's motto, “I Did It My Way.” The foolish rich man did it his way, instead of God's way.

Famous comedian George Carlin (1937-2008) made a career by blaspheming God and His Word. Carlin mocked the reality of Hell...

“So, have a little fun. Soon enough you'll be dead and burning in Hell with the rest of your family.” ―Comedian George Carlin, Brain Droppings

Mr. Carlin is sadly correct, and he is presently burning in Hell, because he died in his sins without Jesus Christ. I am very sad about that. It makes me cry. It was Pastor Dwight L. Moody who said, “I cannot preach on hell unless I preach with tears.” Another famous comedian, Bill Hicks, who died at age 32 of pancreatic cancer said...

“The whole image is that eternal suffering awaits anyone who questions God's infinite love. That's the message we're brought up with, isn't it? Believe or die! Thank you, forgiving Lord, for all those options.” ―Comedian Bill Hicks

What other options would Mr. Hicks like? Adam sinned and that sin passed upon all humanity (Romans 5:12). If God hadn't sent His only begotten Son into the world to pay for our sins (John 3:16 - all quotes from King James Bible), then we'd all spend eternity burning in Hell where we deserve to go. Instead of thanking God for the gift of eternal life, skeptics like Bill Hicks blaspheme and place God on trial as being unfair. Truly, the lost enjoy forever the horrible freedom from God they have demanded. “All right, then, I'll go to hell.” ―Author Mark Twain, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) describes the awfulness and reality of Hell in his timeless sermon, “To Hell And Back”...

My precious friend, you can be a Baptist, you can be a Methodist, you can be a Presbyterian, you can be a Catholic, you can be an Episcopalian, you can be a Lutheran and all the rest of them; you can be baptized in this pool, and sprinkled in another church, and confirmed in another, and reared in another, but if you die without Jesus Christ, without being born again, the Bible says you will go to Hell and suffer in a bottomless pit.

I believe in Hell people constantly fall forever and forever. There is no bottom to Hell. It is a bottomless pit. While people are burning, they shall also be falling. While people are screaming and crying and begging for mercy, and pleading for water, and while they are gnashing their teeth, and chewing their tongues, and looking to God and saying, "0 God! Send Lazarus that he may dip his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame" —the Bible says that is a bottomless pit. Constant falling! Constant falling! Again and again; no foundation, no rock, nothing to stand upon—a bottomless pit forever and forever and forever!

SOURCE: Pastor Jack Hyles, a quote from the sermon titled, “To Hell And Back,” preached on February 23, 1997.

Are you willing to risk spending all eternity in such a horrible place? But you say, I don't believe in Hell! That's doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Look at all the suffering in this world. Many people think this world is hell, and it is a form of hellish existence for many people, but according to the Holy Bible there is a literal place called Hell—a horrible place of suffering, torment, fire, sulfur, no rest day nor night, burning, gnawing pain, weeping, wailing, mental anguish, regret, resentment, falling, darkness, loneliness and eternal separation from all the wondrous blessings of God.

Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) says:

No one will ever go to Hell who has put his trust in Jesus Christ, but many will end up in torment who have trusted their own righteousness and reformation.” ―Pastor Curtis Hutson

My friend, if the reality of a burning Hell doesn't frighten you (and it should, Hebrews 10:31), then perhaps the hope and promise of enjoying all the blessings of God will compel you to get saved. Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” That excites me! God, Who was willing to sacrifice His only Son for me, promises to give me everything else too! What an awesome God. Can you imagine people blaspheming God in lieu of such a generous God? Read what satanic whore Shakira says about God in her song, “How Do You Do?” (in which she accuses God of being a selfish, malign, hypocritical, malign, thug). Woe unto the wicked who reject the Son of God. I hope that Shakira repents of her unbelief and comes to Christ before it is too late!

I hope you are a born-again Christian. Eternal life is completely free, without works! If you go to Hell, you've got no one to blame except yourself. I am preaching the truth to you. Will you take heed? Hell is a horrible place of torment, pain and misery, please don't end up there! And Heaven will be so awesome, where God is preparing a home for every believer.

If the Bible is true, then Hell is real. If you are a skeptic, then you must first determine whether you believe the Bible is God's Word or not. The most common allegation is that men wrote the Bible. I guarantee you that nearly all the people who make that claim are riding on the shoulders of other skeptics; such as, atheists Bill Maher or George Carlin. I heard former Minnesota Governor, Jesse Ventura, say that his religion is the religion of Comedian George Carlin. See what I mean? You'd better do your own homework, because your eternal destiny depends upon it.

Men couldn't have written the Bible if they had wanted to, and wouldn't have if they had been able. The Bible is composed of 66 separate books—all written over a time period of 1,500 years by approximately forty different men of varying countries, education, language, age, background and circumstances. Most of the men never met one another. Even the most elaborate conspiracy could not have pulled off such a massive undertaking. God gave the Bible to humanity in such a unique and bizarre manner that it proves divine origin to the honest truth-seeker. God could have just handed His complete word to Adam or Moses and demanded that man blindly obey it. No one is required by God to have blind faith. There is a preponderance of evidence and overwhelming proof of God, Jesus Christ, and the authenticity of His Word. I see it all clearly, and so can you if you want the truth!

Why Aren't Our Churches Warning People About Hell?

Sword of the Lord founder, Dr. John R. Rice (1985-1980) made the following truthful statements about Hell:

“Those who go to Heaven ride on a pass and enter into blessings that they never earned, but all who go to hell pay their own way.” ―Evangelist John R. Rice

“It is a sad and shocking fact that many religious people are in Hell.” ―Evangelist John R. Rice

“Multitudes of people who expect to go to Heaven will go to a Hell of torment. Thousands of "good" people, "moral" people, church members, even church workers - yes, and, alas, even prophets, priests and preachers - will find themselves lost when they expected to be saved, condemned when they expected approval, cast out of Heaven when they expected to be received into eternal bliss. That is the explicit meaning of the words of our Lord...[spoken in Matthew 7:21-23.]” ―Evangelist John R. Rice

Here are some more excellent and thought-provoking quotes about Hell from faithful preachers...

Evangelist Billy Sunday said, “A man can slip into hell with his hand on the door-knob of heaven.”

“When sinners are careless and stupid, and sinking into hell unconcerned, it is time the church should bestir themselves. It is as much the duty of the church to awake, as it is for the firemen to awake when a fire breaks out in the night in a great city.” —Evangelist Charles Finney

“Don't say that a loving God is going to send you to hell - He's not. The thing that's going to send you to hell is that you're a sinner and you don't want to admit it.” —Pastor J. Vernon McGee

“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for.” —Pastor Charles H. Spurgeon

Aren't those great statements? My friend, Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. Jesus exclaimed to Nicodemus, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN! (John 3:1-7). Religion wants to fit us with glasses, but the Lord wants to open our eyes. Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. I don't care what church you attend, if you go to Heaven it will only be because you received Jesus Christ on an individual basis. Being part of a group cannot save you, you personally must place your trust in Christ's death on the cross for your sins and His resurrection (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

“Satan can make men dance upon the brink of hell as though they were on the verge of heaven.” —Pastor Charles H. Spurgeon

Author C.S. Lewis was a religious fake, a middle-of-the-roader, an occultist, who promoted the concepts of Theosophy in his writings, teaching that Christ could be embraced without conscious knowledge through the false religions. Yet, Mr. Lewis was a brilliant writer who made the following truthful statement in one of his books, whether he believed it or not. Ironically, Lewis fell prey to his own warning against the subtle deception that leads to the Lake of Fire...

“Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one--the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts ...Your affectionate uncle, Screwtape.” ―Author C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters

The preceding chart evidences the great importance of getting people to attend church faithfully. The fact is that most people WOULD go to church if someone would simply invite them. The above chart reveals that people who attend church on a weekly basis are FOUR TIMES more likely to believe in Hell than people who don't attend church, and TWO TIMES more likely compared to people who only attend church less than once a month. The chart clearly evidences the strong relationship between the doctrine of Hell and The Church...

“What a compelling motive we have for prayer, for preaching, for soul winning when we learn that every responsible human being who leaves this world without a definite change in heart, immediately lifts his eyes in Hell, tormented in flame!” ―Evangelist John R. Rice

Here is an excellent quote from the mighty man of God, Dr. Lee Roberson (1909-2007), concerning eternal punishment...

“Somebody says, 'The thought of Hell is so horrible.' Well, my friend, so is cancer, so is tuberculosis, so is the grave. Someone said, 'I believe sin ought to be punished, but not for eternity.' That's your view, not God's.

Again another says, 'I don't believe in the wrath of God.' Then you don't believe your Bible. The Bible says the wrath of God abideth on the one who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ. He is lost forever.

Now, these things come to us out of the Word of God. The teaching of eternal punishment should give us a hatred for sin. We ought to hate sin. The reason we have changed so much in this day in all of our churches is that we are not hearing much on this subject. Therefore, we endorse sin. We engage in sin. We camouflage the sin in our lives and allow things to go by, instead of hating sin as God wants us to hate sin . . .

The teaching of eternal punishment should give us a passion for the souls of men.”

SOURCE: Dr. Lee Roberson, from the book, “Disturbing Questions... Solid Answers,” chapter 16, pgs. 196-198; copyright, Sword of the Lord publishers, 1978.

I couldn't have said it better. Pastor Lee Roberson is correct, believers are no longer passionate about soul-winning because of sin tolerated in our churches.

Satan is a Deceiver, Who Deceives Ministers, Who Deceive Congregations

The worst sin of all is the corruption of God's Word and all the indifferent evangelical churches who use them, apathetic to the Bible version debate. Satan is a master deceiver. The Bible warned us that the Devil would sneak heresy into our churches. Jude 1:4, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” All of the modern corrupted Bible versions are denying the Lord, attacking His deity, obliterating the Godhead and diminishing Christ's preeminence.

Psalms 138:2 says that God magnifies His Word above His own holy name. Psalms:138:2, “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” God's Word is more important than the name of Jesus, the name above every name (Philippians 2:9-10). That is because God's name is only as credible as His Word. God's Word is more important to Him than anything, because His holiness and character are at stake.

Therefore, it ought to alarm every born-again Christian that Satan is corrupting (changing) the Word of God little-by-little. Here again is a powerful quote from one of C.S. Lewis' fictional characters in his book...

“Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one--the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts ...Your affectionate uncle, Screwtape.” ―Author C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters

The preceding quote is so very truthful about how the Devil works. The Devil gradually, incrementally, subtly, changes the truth of God into a lie (Romans 1:25). Satan's greatest method of deceiving people is to give them a false hope. A man with no hope is much better off than a man with false hope, because a man with no hope is still looking. Since Satan knows that most people would reject him if they knew what he is up to, he disguises himself in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15). Satan changes things a little at a time, so that you won't notice what he is doing over time. Satan laughs at all the deceived people who defend Roman Catholicism, who trust in sacraments to get them to Heaven.

Satan is extremely subtle, so he has taken a lie and placed it between two truths. It is called “Lordship Salvation,” and it's deadly because it looks very good to eat. Pastor John MacArthur is probably the most popular teacher of this heresy, who has deceived thousands of Baptist pastors around the world. MacArthur says that we are saved by grace through faith. This is the truth. MacArthur says that Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and then raised up bodily from the dead three days later. This is also the truth. But then MacArthur says...

“Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian. Salvation for sinners cost God His own Son; it cost God’s Son His life, and it’ll cost you the same thing...”

SOURCE: Dr. John MacArthur, from his book titled, Hard to Believe, page 93.

Well, MacArthur certainly does make it hard to believe. In fact, it is impossible to be saved MacArthur's way. No where in the Word of God are we taught that eternal life will cost us anything. Quite the contrary, we are told repeatedly that eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). A gift is taken. You don't give anything to get a gift. The reason why MacArthur teaches that children cannot be saved is because he views salvation as being difficult, requiring a deep and profound surrender of one's will to obey Christ. It is so clear that this is not the free gift offered to all men by faith in Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:5 says that Christ saves “the ungodly,” and a man's faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” We're all ungodly when we come to Christ. The very notion of a man being required to commit to reform (turn away from sin) in order to be saved is insane. Eternal life is a gift, a gift, a gift... it's a gift!

By the time most people realize that they've been lied to and deceived, it will be too late. Jesus said in Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Most religious people are going to Hell forever! They will be extremely angry at the Devil in eternity, when they realize that they were deceived, but it will be TOO LATE!!!!!!!

2nd Corinthians 11:13-15 teaches that Satan transforms himself into the IMAGE of Christ, to deceive others; and his sinister ministers are transformed into Christian ministers to deceive. The word “transformed” is the Greek word metaschēmatizō and means “to disguise.” Satan intentionally disguises himself to deceive, which is why the foolish ministers who unknowingly follow him are also deceived, and their sincere congregations are also deceived.

It should not come as a surprise that Satan would also change the Bible into lies and disguise it as being God's Holy Word. The nature of Satan's game is deception, and he's been rigging and winning for 6,000 years!!! You don't have to be deceived, if you'll search the Scriptures as Jesus taught us in John 5:39. The Bible is our benchmark against which everything else is tested.

Please, Just One Drop Of Water!

Please” the rich man begs... “please, send Lazarus with a drop of cold water to relieve my suffering.” This is a clear indication as to what the wicked can expect in Hell... unbearable thirst caused by the tormentuous flames. Isn't it tragic, that most people today refuse to listen to even ONE sermon, or give a soulwinner ONE minute of their precious time. No one has time for God anymore. Americans are absolutely saturated with idolatry, even naming one of our most popular TV shows... AMERICAN IDOL. We not only sin against God in America, we even name one of our biggest cities... SIN CITY. Woe unto America!

If you have rejected Jesus Christ as your Savior, and you're not afraid of Hell, you will be... YOU WILL BE! ... “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31).

Revelation 14:11, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
