Hell Fire
By David J. Stewart
“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction...” —2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9
The Bible, God's Word, states that Hell has fire. Billy Graham has been quoted as saying that Hell doesn't have fire...
“...I think people have a hard time believing God is going to allow people to burn in literal fire forever. I think the fire that is mentioned in the Bible is a burning thirst for God that can never be quenched.”The Orlando (Florida) Sentinel for April 10, 1983
LIES! The Word of God explicitly states that Hell burns with FIRE...
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” —Revelation 21:8
Did you read that Mr. Graham? ... IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE!!!
“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.” —Malachi 4:1
Ellen G. White, the heretical prophetess and founder of the SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST (SDA) religion, stated...
“How repugnant to every emotion of love and mercy, and even to our sense of justice, is the doctrine that the wicked dead are tormented with fire and brimstone in an eternally burning hell ... And how utterly revolting is the belief that as soon as the breath leaves the body the soul of the impenitent is consigned to the flames of hell! ... the doctrine of natural immortality first borrowed from pagan philosophy, and in the darkness of the great apostasy incorporated into the Christian faith, has supplanted the truth ... The theory of eternal torment is one of the false doctrines that constitute the wine of the abomination of Babylon ... But those who have not, through repentance and faith, secured pardon, must receive the penalty of transgression ... covered with infamy, they sink into hopeless, eternal oblivion ... There will then be no lost souls to blaspheme God as they writhe in never-ending torment; no wretched beings in hell will mingle their shrieks with the songs of the saved.”
(Ellen White, The Great Controversy, pp. 469,470,477,478,483)."
LIES! Seventh-Day Adventism is of the Devil. Like it or not, the Bible teaches eternal damnation for all Christ-rejecters, i.e., those who die in their sins without Jesus Christ as their Savior. 2nd Thessalonians 1:8,9 state, "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction..." Matthew 25:46 states, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous unto life eternal."
Don't be fooled my friend, Hell will last forever. Even after 1,000,000,000,000 years in the Lake of FIRE, your eternal misery and suffering won't even have begun. Revelation 14:11 states, "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."
Yet, hellbound sinners mock God and the Bible. Here's Conan O'Brien singing, “I'm a Gonna Go to Hell When I Die!” How evil and foolish for anyone to make fun of such a serious subject as Hell. Should it be surprising that Conan has also portrayed Jesus Christ as a homosexual voyeur on his late night show? Have they no shame? No.
We read in Revelation 20:13-15, "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." It is abundantly clear from these Scriptures that THE DEAD will be judged in a final judgment, and then be cast into the LAKE OF FIRE (Greek: Gehenna), which is the SECOND DEATH. Upon the first death, an unsaved soul will plunder into the depths of Hell (Greek: Hades); but then later be cast into the Lake of Fire with Hades... "And death [the final judgment] and hell [Hades] were cast into the lake of fire [Gehenna]." For an excellent detailed analysis of this subject, please read A BIBLICAL EXAMINATION OF HELL by pastor Max. D. Younce.
Here is an excellent quote from the mighty man of God, Dr. Lee Roberson, concerning eternal punishment . . .
“Somebody says, 'The thought of Hell is so horrible.' Well, my friend, so is cancer, so is tuberculosis, so is the grave. Someone said, 'I believe sin ought to be punished, but not for eternity.' That's your view, not God's.
Again another says, 'I don't believe in the wrath of God.' Then you don't believe your Bible. The Bible says the wrath of God abideth on the one who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ. He is lost forever.
Now, these things come to us out of the Word of God. The teaching of eternal punishment should give us a hatred for sin. We ought to hate sin. The reason we have changed so much in this day in all of our churches is that we are not hearing much on this subject. Therefore, we endorse sin. We engage in sin. We camouflage the sin in our lives and allow things to go by, instead of hating sin as God wants us to hate sin . . .
The teaching of eternal punishment should give us a passion for the souls of men.”

Are you willing to risk spending an eternity in the flames of Hell, when you don't have to? Eternal LIFE is a "free gift" (Romans 5:15) from God, paid for by the precious blood of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18,19). Romans 6:23 reads, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” No wonder Hebrews 2:3 says, " How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..."
Believe Upon the Lord Jesus Christ to be Saved
Salvation doesn't cost you anything, except the world, i.e., you don't have to give up the world to be saved, but the world will give you up. You see, although you don't have to forsake your sins to be saved, you DO need to realize your GUILT, and just deserved condemnation under the Law of God, i.e., you deserve to burn in Hell. All you need to do to be saved is believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins (Acts 16:31). That's it!
However, as a believer, you won't be able to enjoy the sins of the world like you used to, because the indwelling Holy Spirit will convict you about sin. The sinful world will hate you if you live for Jesus (John 15:19). If you are genuinely saved, then God's Holy Spirit will convict you about your sins (Hebrews 12:6-8), because He dwells within you (Romans 8:9), and you will be miserable until you forsake them; but, this has nothing to do with salvation. Forsaking one's sins is an act of Christian obedience; NOT a required step to be saved. Romans 4:5 clearly teaches this, "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."
John 3:20 tells us why many people WON'T come to Jesus for salvation... "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." You have to admit your sinful GUILT in order to be saved, for why would you need a Savior if you're not on your way to Hell? The sinful world isn't willing to admit their sinfulness. They don't want to be REPROVED of their sins. You cannot get saved without admitting your guilt and justly deserved condemnation under God's Law (Romans 3:19). So we clearly see a vast difference between realizing one's guilt to be saved, verses the heresy of LORDSHIP SALVATION, which requires a person to forsake their sinful ways to be saved. Salvation is of the Lord, not man. Our part is to trust the Savior, no more. You don't need to give up one sin to be saved. Christ came into the world to die for your sins and mine, so that we could go to Heaven to be with Him forever. Remember, eternal life is the free gift of God, which cannot be merited, earned or deserved in the least way.
1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as His DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION. If you receive the Gospel as payment for your sins, then you are saved eternally. Placing one's faith in Christ is NOT the Gospel, because it leaves out the cross. Any plan of salvation that leads men to invite Jesus into their life, trust Jesus or pray a sinner's prayer is not the Gospel. The cross must be present. The Lord died, was buried and was raised up three days later.
Please don't go to Hell. I often hear people saying that this earthly life is Hell, and it is a sinful world no doubt (1st John 5:19); but you don't know what Hell is until you're burning in LITERAL flames of fire forever, "...for I am tormented in this flame" (Luke 16:24).
"That they all might
be damned who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
—2nd Thessalonians 2:12
