A Warning About “UNSHACKLED” Radio

I grew up around Skidrow, going with my father (now in Heaven) to Pacific Garden Mission (PGM) regularly for my whole childhood. He'd preach and I'd quote a Bible verse. When my mom came, she played the piano (also now in Heaven). This was when PGM were on state street with the 666 Lounge next door. Literally, the bar's address was 666 S. State Street. You couldn't make that up it's so unbelievable. I've been promoting the mission's evangelistic outreach series called “UNSHACKLED” (their website) for years in my online ministry, but many of the UNSHACKLED radio (Wikipedia) programs have become so corrupt lately, that I must expose their false plan of salvation.
I regularly listen to Alexander Scourby read the King James Bible on MP3 in my vehicle while driving, and I check the local religious radio stations often to see what they're promoting. It's all a bunch of garbage these days!!! I almost drove off the road tonight while listening to UNSHACKLED!!! I had turned on the radio after the number of the UNSHACKLED program was announced, so I'm not sure what episode it was (there are thousands).
Here's the basic story. Two men were conversing. When asked if he was a Christian by the religious man, the worldly man said he walked a church aisle at age 12. The religious man alleged that the other man didn't really get saved, because he still got drunk and was shacking up outside of a marriage commitment with his girlfriend. The worldly man said that he prayed for Christ to save him at age 12 and was indeed saved. The religious man said that salvation is not a decision that you make in a moment in time; but rather, continual decisions that you make moment-by-moment throughout your life, as you choose to let go of sin and embrace Jesus Christ. My friend, that is a 100% a Satanic plan of salvation!!! That is reformation, not regeneration! That is religion, not truth!
Our text passage of Scripture from Galatians 1:9 pronounces a CURSE upon any man who preaches ANOTHER GOSPEL. Galatians 1:9, “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” The Holy Bible only teaches ONE GOSPEL, and here it is...
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
The Gospel (Good News) is that Christ DIED, was BURIED AND bodily RESURRECTED the third day. If you repent (change your mind, acknowledging your guilty condition as a sinner (thus realizing your need), and BELIEVE the Gospel, you are immediately and permanently saved. Whether or not you CHOOSE to follow Jesus and live a consecrated life for Him is an entirely different matter. Two important Biblical words concerning salvation, that the heretical Lordship Salvation crowd always avoid, are the words “GIFT” and “IMPUTATION.” I heard UNSHACKLED tonight teach that you cannot be saved in a moment of time; but instead, moments of time, throughout the rest of your life as you choose Jesus over sin. That is Satanic teaching! Good night in the morning! What is UNSHACKLED teaching???
I have heard numerous episodes of UNSHACKLED lately that teach Lordship Salvation. I am issuing this warning to others who listen to their program. I still think UNSHACKLED is valuable and worth hearing, but if they are misleading people on the plan of salvation, THEN GOD'S CURSE IS UPON THEM! I have found, so far, that only some of their programs are contaminated with this heresy. Please note that I've looked at UNSHAKCLED's “How To Get To Heaven” webpage and I am OK with it, except that they say to receive Jesus as your “Savior and Lord.” Yet, that is not Lordship Salvation per se to use that terminology. Since they don't actually teach Lordship Salvation on the “How To Get To Heaven” page, I must give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure how they select their actors when they record the UNSHACKLED programs, but it appears to be a wide range of people. As best I can tell, PGM and UNSHACKLED are straddling the fence (lukewarm), trying to keep both sides of the issue happy. What other conclusion can people come to when they hear two different plans of salvation on UNSHACKLED? Listen to UNSHACKLED for yourself and you decide.
God's Gift of Eternal Life Has Nothing To Do With Personal Performance
My friend, the King James Bible (which is the only Bible that hasn't been tampered with by the Devil), teaches that a person must be BORN-AGAIN! (John 3:3; 1st Peter 1:23). The spiritual new birth happens in a moment of time, instantaneously, so that every believer can confidently boast of having eternal life as God promised to them that believe (1st Corinthians 1:21). I KNOW that I am saved (1st John 5:13), and it has absolutely nothing to do with my performance as a Christian. If I went and got drunk tomorrow, hired a prostitute and snorted cocaine, I'd still be 100% saved; because the gift of eternal life comes by the imputed righteous of God, and not by my own human effort.
Of course, if I did those sinful things I'd also be in trouble with God, and I would have to give account to the Lord Jesus Christ on Judgment Day, and I would be disciplined and scourged by God (Hebrews 12:6-8) and lose rewards (1st Corinthians 3:12-15). We as believers still have to give account to God for the good and the bad done in the flesh (2nd Corinthians 5:9-11). 2nd Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” No one gets away with sin. However, once a person has received the gift of eternal life through faith in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, they are saved securely and eternally. To teach otherwise is to require human effort, which is a works-based false plan of salvation. This is a very serious matter, because your eternal destiny rests upon it.
On Dr. John MacArthur's website, he errantly teaches that in order to be saved, a person must embrace discipleship, making a wholehearted decision to follow Jesus Christ; and MacArthur says the price of following Christ is very high! This is unbiblical in so many ways. MacArthur is a sincere man I believe, and I like his style of speaking, and he makes some brilliant statements; however, I am 100% convinced that he is not saved, because he is trying to be saved instead of trusting to be saved. MacArthur, as a staunch 5-point Calvinist, views salvation as a process which requires perseverance. In sharp contrast, I believe in the preservation of the saints by God's promise to save them that believe, and not the foolish nonsense of a false plan of salvation that requires paying a high personal price. Lordship Salvation requires paying a high price. That's not the Gospel taught in the Bible. In the Bible, Jesus paid it all, bearing the full weight and price of our sins, so we wouldn't have to, because we couldn't. Evangelist Billy Graham pays himself $633,722 a year (that's $304 an hour for a 40 hour work week) to so-called “serve God.” What a sad joke!!!
Forsaking sinful living is NOT a requirement to be saved. The UNSHACKLED program did mention that the Holy Spirit comes to indwell (live inside the body) of every new believer. That is true. However, UNSHACKLED horrible goes astray when they mandate a changed life for salvation. Biblically, deciding to follow Jesus Christ is discipleship and not salvation. Judas followed Jesus, but went to Hell when he died. The thief on the cross never followed Jesus, but he went to Heaven when he died. You don't have to follow Jesus to get to Heaven. Discipleship is NOT a requirement for salvation.
Bruce Jenner Walking Streets of Gold?
Please understand that I am not defending Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn Jenner) in any way for his transgendered wickedness. Personally, I don't think Jenner is saved, because he refuses to provide a clear testimony of his salvation. Jenner has no problem boasting of his sick-minded transgendered behavior, but he is too ashamed to tell the world about his alleged faith. Yet, that doesn't mean he's not saved. If you gauge a person's salvation by the life they live, then you are judging according to the outward appearance, but only God can see the heart. There are some rebellious believers in this world, like Samson and Solomon, both sex-perverts.
2nd Chronicles 25:1-2, “Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.” Amaziah was a good guy, on the Lord's side, but he promoted AC/DC Rock music, supported abortions and let the people worship idols (2nd Chronicles 25:14). This evidences Biblically that imperfect, even backslidden believers, can still be Christians. Don't lose sight of the truth that eternal life is a free gift, and anybody who attempts to stretch, distort or morph that gift into a reward that you must live a holy life to have is a Satanic devil liar!!!
Clearly, Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner has serious spiritual issues. No one could be faulted for calling Jenner “a freak,” or as Snoop Dog (Poop Dog) called Jenner, “a science project!” Shamefully, President Barack Obama has openly praised Jenner as some kind of national hero. It is wickedness!!! Proverb 28:4, “They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.” I do not believe Jenner is saved because I haven't heard any clear testimony to his claim to Christianity. Remember, even the Devil claims to be a Christian (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15).
It is professed Christians like world Olympic champion Bruce Jenner, who now has become Caitlyn Jenner, that alarm and antagonism many pastors and Christian leaders; thus, compelling them to corrupt the Gospel and mix discipleship with salvation to be saved. But like it or not, Bruce Jenner (he will never be a woman in God's eyes) could actually be a born-again Christian as he professes to be. Biblical evidence in found in 1st Corinthians 3:15, “If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” I haven't heard enough of a clear testimony from Bruce Jenner to discern if he's saved or not. I agree with Dr. John R. Rice that the only way to determine if someone is really saved is by the direct testimony from their mouth. All I'm reading online is that Mr. Jenner is private and doesn't want to talk about his faith publicly. Could he be saved? Sure!
Also, consider 1st Corinthians 5:5, “To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” This verse doesn't mean to give someone to Satan to kill; but rather, it means sometimes people have to learn the hard way (and of course, that could lead to their premature death). Bruce Jenner has definitely been given over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, but he could still be a born-again Christian if he has received Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for his sins, and believes Christ bodily raised-up from the dead. Remember, a man's faith is counted for righteousness (Romans 4:5-6; Romans 10:3-4; Philippians 3:9; Genesis 15:6). I don't care if it harelips every dog in the county, the Bible plainly teaches in Romans 4:5-6, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works.”
Many flawed Bible teachers will read these verses in Romans 4:5-6, and then totally negate it by mandating a changed and holy life as validation of a man's faith. The apostle James in 2:18-21 speaks of the FRUIT of a man's faith, being seen in the eyes of men, not God. The apostle Paul speaks of the ROOT of a believer's faith in Romans 4:5-6. The Bible teaches that a saved man ought to bring forth the fruit of God's righteousness in his life, because he has the Holy Spirit indwelling him; however, this does not necessarily mean that there aren't worldly believers who have chosen not to follow Christ, not to serve Him faithfully. In fact, most believers are in this rebellious group. Demas forsook Paul, having loved this present world (2nd Timothy 4:10). Philemon 1:24 indicates that Demas was saved, a fellow-labourer of the apostle Paul a few years before he backslid into the heathen world. Like it or not you hypocrites, Demas was saved and worldly. Heretics like Evangelist Paul Washer teach that there is no such thing as a carnal Christian. Washer is wrong, read 1st Corinthians 3:1.
The same is true of Lot, Abraham's troublesome nephew (2nd Peter 2:7-8). Lot chose to lived in Sodom. Two of Lot's daughters perished in Sodom with his son-in-laws. Lot's wife disobeyed God by looking back to Sodom's destruction and was turned into a pillar of salt. Lot's other two daughters got their father drunk (with alcohol they brought out of Sodom), and were impregnated by their own father. WHAT A MESS! The Bible tells us that this was a righteous man in 2nd Peter 2:7-8. Unshackled may not agree with God, but the Bible teaches that eternal life is a gift, obtainable without forsaking drunkenness, adultery and stealing.
You say, what about the Scriptures that say fornicators and drunks cannot enter into Heaven? ...
1st Corinthians 6:9-11, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”
Notice in verse 11 the phrase, “BUT YE ARE WASHED”!!! If you have placed your faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you are washed and cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus!!! You have been JUSTIFIED, just-if-I'd never sinned!!! This speaks concerning God's imputed righteousness in Christ Jesus which is through faith alone. Once you've made the choice to trust Christ, then you have to make another choice as a believer whether or not you are going to “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1). Just because many believers DON'T choose to serve God, DON'T depart from sinful living and DON'T consecrate their life to let God live a holy life through them, DOESN'T mean that they have never received the free gift of eternal life. It DOES mean that they are either immature in Christ or backslidden into the world. Likely, the Christian who led them to the Lord failed to mentor them, teaching them the things of Christ as The Great Commission teaches us to do (Matthew 28:19-20). We need to stop tampering with the plan of salvation and blaming sinners and start blaming ourselves as the Church for not mentoring new converts.
Today "UNSHACKLED!" is broadcast around the world almost 14,000 times each week on over 2,900 radio outlets. If they are wrong on repentance and the plan of salvation, woe is unto them because Galatians 1:9 calls them CURSED!!! I didn't say that, God did!!! Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
You get saved by receiving Jesus as your personal Savior (John 1:12; 1st Timothy 4:10), not Lord or King. You cannot show me one Bible verse that requires making Jesus one's Lord to be saved (unless you have a Satanic counterfeit modern version that perverts Romans 10:9). Jesus becomes one's Lord the very moment they receive Him as their Savior, but that individual must CHOOSE to follow Christ, just as they have CHOSEN to trust Him. We have a freewill from God, a choice. Do you think that a Skidrow drunk who continues in his drunken ways cannot be a genuine born-again Christian? Does becoming a Christian automatically guarantee that in every case a man will sober-up and walk straight? No, of course not. Please don't forget, eternal life is a free gift!
Yes, John MacArthur and Billy Graham are correct that following Jesus requires a high price to pay, but that is for discipleship and not the gift of eternal life. Like it or not, God sent His only begotten Son into the world to pay for everyone's sins, so that He could freely offer the gift of eternal life to WHOSOEVER wants it. Salvation is not reformation, nor education, nor rehabilitation; but rather, regeneration. YE MUST BE BORN-AGAIN! (John 3:1-7). Beware of anyone who talks about being saved by inviting Jesus into your heart, committing your life to Christ, starting a relationship with Jesus, turning from sinful ways, forsaking the world, turning over a new leaf, changing your lifestyle or trusting Jesus, for you may do all of these things are never be saved at all. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again!!!
Eternal life is a GIFT, it's a GIFT, it's a GIFT!!! You simply receive it by faith alone in the Gospel. END
