It is sad that America's biggest heroes are total losers in God's eyes. Our
youth are continually bombarded with losers as their heroes. Instead of
looking up to scientists, doctors and teachers; our youth instead admire
professional athletes, homosexual singers and sexually immoral actors.
Consequently, you've got millions of teenagers whose goal in life is to become
the next Michael Jordan. Some people think that's a good thing, but what about
morality and character? Some of the most sexually immoral people in our nation
are professional athletes. Talent seeks attention, but wisdom pays attention.
Our children ought to be taught to seek wisdom, but instead, they are taught
to seek talent, fame and money. No wonder our culture is so messed up! You
can't build a healthy society where most kids want to grow up to play ball.
Teenagers today are addicted to video games. How many teenagers love books and admire inventors and engineers? Instead, our youth are infatuated with loser like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and The Jonas Brothers. Self has no place in the Christian life. God never rewards anyone for selfishness. Walt Disney gives all the wrong role models for our youth. Shame on Disney!!! They rake in billions-of-dollars each year at Disney, by corrupting kids lives.
Children are extremely impressionable and will become what they hang around. Watching television is virtually the same as if you personally associate with those people. If you watch garbage on TV, then it is going to have an impact on you. It's inevitable. American television is banned in many Arab countries because of its negative influence upon woman and youth. Even Communist China bans certain U.S. commercials because of content too risqué, lewd and sexually suggestive.
Americans are infatuated with crime drama on television. A popular biography aired lately on television is titled “GANGSTERS: AMERICA'S MOST EVIL!” Americans can't seem to get enough knowledge about evil, violence and sleaze.

Anytime you find someone who denies Christ's deity, they are lowering Jesus to the level of humanity. That is humanism! Humanism is pulling God down and raising man up! Humanism is exalting man and bringing down God. When you have a little God and a big man, you have nothing but homosexuality, adultery, abortion, licentiousness and a wicked society. Idolatry is the forerunner of immorality and wickedness in any society. America turned idolatrous before she became immoral.
Anytime that man is exalted and God is lowered, apostasy results. This is why America is so evil today. We have brought God low in our schools, government, businesses and even churches. People today worship the church more than God. It is idolatry! People worship the body! People worship sports athletes and singers! We ought to love the church, but worship only God! We ought to love our families, but worship only God! We ought to praise the Lord continually. God alone deserves the place of worship in our heart.
Water baptism is good, but it's not the way of salvation. Don't worship baptism. Don't worship denominations. Don't worship men. Never put a man where only Jesus should be. Sometimes God takes from us the thing that you put in His place. Don't do it! Don't place anything over God in your mind. Intellectuals may not have an idol in their home, but they have an idol in their philosophies. They have an idol in their mind. WORSHIP ONLY GOD!!!
