The Sin Of Wanting To Be A Rock Star

2nd Corinthians 4:4, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

       During their commercial breaks at PrisonPlanet.tv, they frequently have a littler girl saying “When I grow up I want to be a Rock star!” That is really sad! I like listening to The Alex Jones Show regularly, because it is the best source of alternative news available in my opinion. Yet, it is frustrating as a born-again Christian to listen to Alex Jones teach religious humanism, butcher the Bible and promote satanic heavy-metal music on the show. Alex is certainly a fence-straddler, rightfully against the abortion industry, while wrongly endorsing the satanic heavy-metal music industry.

The Bible (God's inspired Word) teaches that Satan is the god of this evil world. 2nd Corinthians 4:4, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” No one can even begin to grasp the New World Order without understanding and believing this Scripture in the Bible. Satan is in control of this evil world . . .

Satan is the god of this evil world!

Please don't misunderstand, the Bible teaches that the earth is the Lord's and everything in it. 1st Corinthians 10:26, “For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.” The earth itself belongs to God and all that He has created in it. It is man's evil system that Satan controls, because unsaved men allow the Devil to control them, because Satan is their spiritual father. 2nd Corinthians 4:4, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” Satan is a limited being and only has the power which God has allowed him to have. God can stop the Devil at any time, as we see evidenced in the book of Job, chapter one. God put a hedge around Job's life, body, family, possessions and property, so that the Devil could not touch it.

Having laid the groundwork for this article, it is a sin for anyone to want to be a Rock star, which is a form of idolatry and self-glorification. Only God is worthy of that kind of public praise. The worldly Rock stars don't glorify God; but rather, they glorify themselves, many of them even calling themselves “gods” in concerts.
