Something Is Very Wrong With Churchgoers And Pastors Today

by David J. Stewart | October 2016

Romans 7:24, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”

Something is very wrong with churchgoers and pastors today. I was reading some great quotes from Billy Sunday last night. One said, “There wouldn't be so many non-church goers if there were not so many non-going churches.” And also, “Too many churches are little more than four walls and a roof.” I have nothing but contempt for most churches today. Sadly, most churchgoers are as mindless lemmings, the blind following the blind, pawns in the game of the New World Order. If the Luciferian elite can obtain control over the clergy, then the religious masses will follow.

Something is very wrong with a pastor who praises Martin Luther as a great Christian leader, even after you show him plain evidence (from Luther's own words) that he required water baptism and communion to get to Heaven. Luther allegedly became a Christian in 1517, but he wrote his satanic Catechisms in 1529, which mandated water baptism and holy communion for salvation.

Something is very wrong with a pastor who uses multiple Bible revisions, from different original sources. How can a man of God adhere to both the Textus Receptus and the Alexandrian Manuscripts translated by Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort? Most pastor are so carnally-minded that they couldn't care less about the issue. Regardless of the intellectual argument they may try to make, it should be very obvious to any thinking person that God didn't author 900 Bible versions, or two for that matter. GOD ONLY AUTHORED ONE HOLY BOOK!!! That Book is the precious King James Bible!!!!!!!

I know professed Christians who think they are right with God, who refuse to apologize for past sins, failures and mistakes to others whom they have deeply hurt. They have attended church faithfully for years; they pray, read their Bible and tithe; but they are blinded by their religion, failing to see that they are not right with the Lord. They are living in deceit. They cannot see the forest for the trees! So many believers are blinded by religion. They sing when it's time to sing. They tithe when it's time to tithe. They go to church when it's time to go to church. They play the game, and do what they're supposed to do, which makes them a “good Christian” in their own eyes and the eyes of others who are playing the same game. Crazy, isn't it? In reality, they are not as right with the Lord as they think they are. They have never truly humbled themselves before God. I love the following sermon, which addresses this subject. The Good Man Verses The Spiritual Man (MP3, Dr. Hyles; Few fundamentalists are spiritual).

You know, there is something that has always disturbed me about the American Civil War. The leader of the northern Union States was Abraham Lincoln. The leader of the southern Confederate States was Jefferson Davis. Both of these men claimed to be doing “God's will.” Obviously, someone (or both) was deceived. The new official death toll estimate of the Civil War is 750,000[1] souls! So sad. These were Americans murdering Americans. How tragic!

Today, in 2016, America is still a house divided, in so many ways. Our churches are divided in hundreds of ways. The churches are fighting with each other over the meaning of repentance, the timing of the Rapture, the Biblical way to respond to government tyranny, Biblical separation, spiritual gifts, water baptism, which Bible revision is correct, tithing, marriage and divorce, preaching, and umpteen other issues. And the kicker is that they all claim to be doing “God's will.”

All across America, there are backslidden churches who think they are pleasing to the Lord. I know independent Baptist churches and fundamental Bible colleges that promote hatred, slander and hostility toward great soul-winning men of God. That is heathendom, not Christianity! We should encourage soul-winning, not make it as difficult as we can. Something is very wrong with the churches today. Billy Sunday is correct, “Too many churches are little more than four walls and a roof.” Amen Brother, you said it!

Something is wrong with pastors today who have strayed from the simplicity that is in Christ. They now teach the heresy of Lordship Salvation. I attended an independent fundamental Baptist church for about a year in 2013-2014. I passed out hard copies of the excellent book, “I NEVER KNEW YOU: THE COMING GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT AND HOW YOU CAN AVOID IT!” I gave copies to some of the deacons. I gave copies to the church pastors. You would have thought I was distributing Playboy magazines! They were greatly offended! I couldn't figure out why the book had offended them so much, until recently I learned that Evangelist Ray Comfort had been invited to speak at their church a few years ago. Well, the book by Michael P. Bowen exposes Ray Comfort as a false prophet (and he certainly is). The book I had passed out bashed one of their ecumenical heroes—Ray Comfort—a Calvinist reprobate who teaches that no believer who continues in sin has eternal security! My friend, every believer continues in sin!

“A man can slip into hell with his hand on the door-knob of heaven.”
