Today's Shallow Christians

1st Corinthians 3:1-3, “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”
We're supposed to walk in the Spirit of God
that lives in us as Christians, not walk in the carnal flesh. It is tragic
that most church these days are as carnal as can be. As we learn in 1st
Corinthians 3:1-3, they had carnal churches back in New Testament times; yet
the world has never witnessed apostasy as we are seeing today everywhere.
The average church today is shallow. It is sad to see a church with a
first-class music program, but second-class preaching. That is apostasy!
It is sad to see a church that doesn't mention the word “hell” even once in 4 months! Ladies and gentleman, do we really believe that there is a literal place called “Hell” that burns with fire and brimstone, where all mankind who dies in their sins without Christ will be punished forever and ever?
Hardly any preachers have the courage to preach a Hell, fire and damnation sermon anymore, either because they don't believe in Hell or because they're hen-pecked by some pulpit committee that won't let them preach about Hell. Truly, the love of money is the root of all evil, just as the Bible warns in 1st Timothy 6:10. Shame on any church that fails to warn sinners of the coming eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire! Do we really believe in a literal Hell where sinners will burn, and burn and burn in torments forever and ever and ever? If we did, then we would warn people day and night as the early Church did. Acts 5:42, “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”
You show me a church where the congregation isn't being fed and I'll show you a church with discouraged, frustrated and tired staff members, school teachers and faculty. A New Testament church cannot thrive spiritually on a great music program! They may get by with a minimum of Bible preaching and milquetoast sermonettes, but the people are going to be spiritually malnourished and stunted in their spiritual growth. It's like having a brown lawn that isn't quite dead yet, but it desperately needs hydration (a lot more than it hasn't been receiving). I feel sorry for a church body that isn't being fed properly by a man of God who walks with God and has the fire of THE TRUTH burning in his soul. There's nothing worse than a pastor who doesn't have the fire of God burning in him. Every gospel preacher who spends time abiding in the Scriptures ought to have a burning flame inside of him to PREACH THE TRUTH!!!
The reason why we have so many shallow believers nowadays is because we have so many shallow ministers (I dare call them “preachers,” because they're not preaching). You can tell a man by the company that he keeps! If your pastor hangs around the Billy Graham apostate crowd, and the Rick Warren apostate crowd, and the Pat Robertson apostate crowd, then he'll never be able to rise above the spirituality of that group. And if he spent time in the Word of God walking with the Lord Jesus Christ, then he wouldn't associate with apostates like the ones I just mentioned (who are infamous for their love affairs with the spiritual whore of Roman Catholicism).
Bless God, He has given me (just a humble sinner, a nobody with a website) an open door to preach the truth internationally. Jesus said, Revelation 3:8, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Amen! My ministry online is God's ministry, and it will continue as long as the Lord intends for it to continue. I thank Him every day and pray for that DOOR OF OPPORTUNITY TO PREACH THE TRUTH to stay open for as long as possible. But the door will NOT remain open indefinitely. Communism has infiltrated the United States. As I type, there are evil powers at work to censor and shut down websites like mine permanently. A Colorado baker was just taken to court and ordered by the local wicked judge to bake same-sex theme wedding cakes for homosexual couples or face prison. With evil judges like this in power, how much longer do America's Christians have before they are silenced?

How Nations Are Destroyed, Christians are to blame for what has
happened to America, because we have stopped obeying the Bible. We haven't
humbled ourselves in prayer, nor have we sought God's face of approval by
living by obedient faith, nor have we turned from our wicked ways in our
personal lives as believers. Christians who sit around watching television
are the same ones who do NOTHING to fight against the Communist takeover of
America, and we are paying for it.
Satan's works of darkness can only thrive in the absence of light and a lack of Christian resistance. In the old days, the government feared the churches of America, because they were powerful and the mayors and leaders of most cities were members of some God-fearing church. Today you've got kooks, quacks and queers running everything, including many of our churches!!! The Last Days Are Here In 2014! (nudist churches where the congregation drops their pants). A shocking 18% of the Unitarian Universalist Church are professed atheists! Go figure!
God is not pleased with shallow believers. There's no such thing as “shallow Christianity.” Revelation 3:15-16, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” God wants us in or out! The Lord has no use for Sunday believers who never lift a finger to serve God. You'd be shocked if you knew how many believers think that “serving God” means going to church and singing. My friend, serving God means praying, fasting and preaching the gospel to lost sinners (Luke 2:37). Serving God means forsaking the world in order to follow Jesus Christ, because as you just read, God will vomit you up if you try to follow both at the same time! James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” Joshua 24:15 says to choose whom ye will serve... as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
I'm not speaking about getting saved here. To get saved you simply need to acknowledge your sinnership and believe on the gospel to be saved. The gospel is that Jesus died, was buried and raised up from the dead three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). When I speak about serving God, I am talking about discipleship and fellowship, not sonship. It's important not to confuse the two, lest you trust in a false plan of salvation and go to Hell. We are saved solely by HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, that is, Christ's righteousness!
You'll never become or stay spiritual by listening to today's apostate, shallow, radio and television preachers. Most of them couldn't preach their way our of a paper bag. Most of them are dry teachers, not flaming preachers, who have no business even being on the radio or television (and of course, they've all got something to sell or need your money). If you ever get serious for God, you're going to walk a lonely path, because most churchgoers are just going through the motions. I'd rather be dead than not be real. You can keep your shallow religious act, because I'm going to walk with Jesus in the Scriptures and be real. I'm sick of church deacon's wives who wear pants. I'm sick of beer-drinking believers. I'm sick of gossiping churchgoers (of course, they never call it gossip). I'm sick of television-watching believers who can't quote even a single verse of Scripture! Ladies and gentleman, it's time to get right with God and have a pure heart. It's time to stop playing church! There's a world around us that's going to Hell. It's up to us to warn them!
Shallow believers are content to be lukewarm, but I'm not! I've got to make up for fallen brethren. I've got to make an A to compensate for other believers who are making F's. I've got to try harder because of others who aren't trying at all. I do it all for Jesus, because I love Him. If I don't warn the wicked, then who will? If I don't live right, then who will? If I don't let God work through me, then who will? Can you answer these questions for yourself? What are you doing for God? You're the only Jesus that someone knows. What do they see? It's time to stop being shallow and launch out into the deep, by getting real about soul-winning and living for the things above (Colossians 3:1-3). Luke 5:4, “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” I can hear the Lord saying... LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP, and I will make you fishers of men. The fields are ripe unto harvest my friend. The Lord is looking for more labourers (Luke 8:15).
