The Satanic Attack Against Biblical Fundamentalism

By David J. Stewart | March 2014

Jeremiah 6:16, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

Never before in the United States have we witnessed so much prejudiced criticism, malicious slander and hateful railings against Christian fundamentalism. I'll give you an excellent lengthy quote from Pastor Jack Hyles in a moment explaining what a fundamentalist is, but first let's hear what the Godless, wicked, sinful world defines “fundamentalism” as . . .

“What is Fundamentalism anyway? Fundamentalism is the attempt to impose a single truth on a plural world. What really lies behind fundamentalism is fear, a profound insecurity that makes you feel when you meet someone who doesn't like you or doesn't agree with you that that challenges and threatens your very being. Aggression is always a sign of insecurity, and insecurity is always at the bottom of a lack of faith, not the presence of it.” —Sir Jonathan Sacks [emphasis added]

The preceding quote is by Jonathan Sacks, a reprobate Jewish rabbi in the satanic cult of Judaism (a group that openly denies that Jesus Christ is the Messiah). Mr. Sacks condemns fundamentalism for its “attempt to impose a single truth on a plural world.” My friend, it is called THE TRUTH!!! Fundamentalism is the genuine preservation, proclamation and defence of the Word of God!!! Without apology I can joyfully say that I am as narrow-minded as the Bible! Amen! Jesus proclaimed in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” That is a single truth! The plurality (opposing views to the Scriptures) of the world is wickedness! 1 + 1 = 2, whether you like it or not! Now you can say and convince yourself and others that 1 + 1 = 3, but you'd be dead WRONG!

The Independent Baptist Movement (an excellent MP3 sermon by Dr. Shelton Smith)

The following is an excellent explanation of Biblical fundamentalism by Dr. Jack Hyles (1926-2001) and the need for Ecclesiastical separation . . .

The term "fundamentalist" is a relative one, like "conservative" or "liberal." As it applies to organizations and denominations, "fundamentalists" would define those who hold to original doctrines and convictions and standards of a movement. This means that at the beginning of a movement all of its adherents would be fundamentalists. However, movements change. Denominations change. As they do, those who hold to the original doctrines and convictions fight for their preservation and for the return of the movement to its fundamentals. History tells us that these attempts have failed. Finally realizing that their hopes are futile, a group will pull out of the original movement or denomination and organize another according to the original dogma, standards and convictions of the apostate group. When this happens, the new group can be labeled "fundamentalists."

Hence, to be a fundamental Methodist would not be the same thing as to be a fundamental Presbyterian. To be a fundamental Baptist would not be the same thing as to be a fundamental Episcopalian. The important thing to note here is that the term "fundamentalist" is one that has been given to those who pull out and return to the original intents, purposes and doctrine of the group that they feel has gone liberal.

. . . It is rather popular to define the term "fundamentalist" as one who believes the fundamentals; for example, one who believes the verbal inspiration of the Bible, the deity of Christ, the virgin birth, the vicarious death, the bodily resurrection and the second coming. Now, to be sure, such a one believes the fundamentals, but the term "fundamentalist" probably should not be ascribed to him if he is still a member of an apostate denomination. The term "fundamentalist" is given not to those who simply believe the aforementioned fundamentals but to those who have separated themselves from those who do not. This brings the doctrine of separation into focus as a vital and necessary part of being a fundamentalist. . . . [emphasis added]

SOURCE: WHAT IS A FUNDAMENTALIST? (chapter 15 from Dr. Jack Hyles' life-changing book, BIBLICAL SEPARATION)

I love Brother Hyles so much, because He loved THE TRUTH and proclaimed, preserved and defended it his entire 55 years of pastoring churches. Dr. Hyles was mentored in his early ministry by three mighty men of God; namely, Brother Lester Roloff, Pastor Lee Roberson and Evangelist John R. Rice. These godly men all preached and practiced Biblical separation from other apostate ministers and churches. Church splits are a necessary part of fundamentalism, because as Brother Hyles truthfully said in the quote I just shared with you, history tells us that attempts to fight for the preservation of THE TRUTH have failed. Every generation must rediscover the truth for themselves.

Here is the particular quote again . . .

SOURCE: WHAT IS A FUNDAMENTALIST? (chapter 15 from Dr. Jack Hyles' life-changing book, BIBLICAL SEPARATION)

Every Bible-believing preacher ought to separate from other preachers who are straying away from THE TRUTH of God's Word. The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) recently published their own exclusive Holman Christian Standard Bible, which is totally corrupt, patterned after the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible and based upon the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts and work of heretics Westcott and Hort. Every preacher should separate from the SBC! In addition, 37% of men in the SBC are members of the demonic cult of Freemasonry! These are but two of dozens of reasons why no preacher should support or join the SBC!

As you can imagine, SBC ministers are going to despise, criticize and attack fundamentalist preachers like Dr. Jack Hyles (and they still do even a decade after Brother Hyles went to Heaven in 2001). Try as they may, Dr. Hyles' critics will never be able to destroy his legacy, because truth-seekers will always listen to wisdom, and fools will always despise wisdom (see our text verse at the top of this article). You can walk with Brother Hyles by listening to his sermons and Bible studies, even though he is up in Heaven with Jesus, and the Bible says in Jeremiah 6:16 that “HE THAT WALKETH WITH WISE MEN SHALL BE WISE.” When you listen to TV and radio ministers, you're walking with apostate, compromised and in many cases, foolish men. Brother Hyles told the truth, saying it like it is, and many people hated him for it, some even making attempts upon his life.

You can tell a lot about a man by the company that he keeps. You won't become in five years what you want to be; but rather, you will become what you decide to be around. Be careful who you choose for friends, companions and acquaintances.

Jeremiah 6:16, “He that walketh with wise men
shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

When You're A Christian The Entire World Is Waiting For You To Fall

The Devil has been attacking our fundamental churches like never before, and some preachers have fallen in recent years, delighting the manure-spreading newsmedia, but THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S. Psalms 37:12, “The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.”

The authority of a church is the Word of God, and not a man or men. There are no perfect churches. There are no perfect leaders. There are no perfect church members. If you join a church, there will be conflicts and problems at times, just as with any dealings with people. It's in our nature to gripe, be envious and gossip to make ourselves feel better.

As the Bible teaches, they will no longer tolerate SOUND DOCTRINE. 2nd Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” The word “sound” here is the Greek word hugiainō and means “to have sound health, that is, be well (in body); figuratively to be uncorrupt.” The Bible foretold of these last days when people would seek to find false teachers who speak corrupt doctrine, and not tolerate THE TRUTH. Dr. Jack Hyles preached the truth and in many ways had an Apostolic ministry, that is, overseeing thousands of churches who sought his uncanny wisdom on soul-winning, church planning, leadership, counseling, building, and how to handle church problems.

I heard a wonderful MP3 sermon recently by Dr. Hyles titled, THE GIFT OF PROPHESY. In this sermon Brother Hyles shows a side of him that many people often miss. The Bible teaches in 1st Corinthians 14:3 that prophesying is the most important gift in the Church, and prophesying (speaking forth) is three things:

  1. Building up the home (edifying)
  2. Lifting up the fallen (exhorting)
  3. Encouraging the people of God (comfort)

Dr. Hyles plainly teaches that these three things are more important than preaching against abortion, booze or other sins. Now preaching against sin is very important, but it's not the most important. Teaching people how to build their home is more important. This is good stuff! Most people who attack Fundamentalism haven't the foggiest clue what Fundamentalism is all about. The malicious attack against Pastor Jack Hyles and his ministry are rooted in a hateful spirit against a holy God, an offensive King James Bible that steps on toes, and Biblical Fundamentalism.

The wicked are trying to use the failures of a few Christian leaders to sinfully burn the entire house of Fundamentalism to the ground (good luck with that!). Jesus proclaimed that Heaven and earth shall pass away (and that includes all of humanity), but the Word of God shall NEVER pass away!!! (Matthew 24:35).

God Is A Fundamentalist!

Fundamentalism is under relentless attack in this generation, just as it always has been. There is no controversy if you believe the Bible. The truth has never been popular, well received and embraced by the wicked world. If you've read some of the slanderous garbage that Dr. Hyles' critics are saying about him (and I hope you don't), they all share the common denominator of accusing him of being a deceiver, and of doing the devil's work as a cult leader. May I say, that's what the wicked Scribes and Pharisees said about Jesus! They said He had a devil (John 7:20). They called Jesus a deceiver (Matthew 27:63).

They accused Jesus of starting a cult, speaking of Himself and not God's Word. John 8:13, “The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.” That's what the Devil says too! Every faithful preacher who Biblically exposes the satanic Roman Catholic religion, the sin of women wearing pants, the evils of abortion, the evils of drinking booze and smoking cigarettes, the evils of same-sex perversion, the sin of mixed bathing between boys and girls (public nudity), et cetera, is going to be labeled as a cult leader, a bigot and an extremist!

Revelation 12:10 tells us that Satan accuses the brethren day-and-night before the throne of God. Brother Hyles' critics are behaving just like Satan by running their mouths and their fingers on the internet. God hates rebellion! Dr. Hyles preached with authority from an authoritative King James Bible, and he served and worshipped an authoritative God. All of the people slandering Pastor Hyles are rebels against God's authority, preferring ecumenical and apostate carnal churches—where sin is not preached against, where corrupt Bible versions are used instead of the faithful King James Bible, where women church members where pants, where entertainment has replaced Biblical preaching, where the power of the Holy Spirit is not present, et cetera.

Here are some practical words of wisdom from Pastor Jack Hyles' great book, SALVATION IS MORE THAN BEING SAVED . . .

If you want a carnal church program which appeals to the flesh, you will have no problem finding that. Of course, the dangerous thing here is that the decisions that affect us for life and eternity are often made because our appetites are carnal. For example, we choose a church because it is friendly, because we like the choir, because the preacher has a good vocabulary, with little or no thought about the power of the Holy Spirit in the services or the zeal for souls or the standards of separation, In other words, we choose an institution that is going to affect our entire lives and, yes, our eternity, on the basis of satisfying our carnal appetites. [emphasis added]

SOURCE: Hindrances To Salvation, chapter 10 from Dr. Hyles' great book, Salvation Is More Than Being Saved

The Devil doesn't go after the wimpy, compromised, milquetoast, cowardly and silent ministers who don't preach the Word of God. No, rather, the Devil always goes after the guy who's making the biggest difference, the guy making the noise and rocking the boat! Satan goes after the soul-winner! Satan goes after the spiritually active Christian who's faithfully serving God. 2nd Timothy 3:12 says that any believer who lives “godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” It's guaranteed. But living godly in Christ Jesus doesn't mean putting a bumper sticker on your car or listening to religious radio daily. Living godly in Christ Jesus includes taking a stand against public wickedness, sowing the seed of the gospel, praying and abiding in the Scriptures, and forsaking the sinful world. When you carry a holy Bible, the sinful world will give you up! When you're a Christian, the whole world is waiting for you to fall.

The ignorant and sinful world mistakes sinful compromise for love, but it is not love. Biblical love is treating others the way I want to be treated (Matthew 7:12). Would I want someone to warn me about coming judgment in Hell-fire forever and ever? Yes, of course! A genuine man of God doesn't tell people what they want to hear; but rather, he tells them what God says to tell them! This is why the Bible says that no man can serve God and mammon (wealth, Matthew 6:24). You're going to love one and hate the other. Every compromised preacher is in love with money.

That's why televangelist Jack Van Impe shamefully kisses-up to Roman Catholics, praising the satanic Pope instead of exposing him truthfully as the VICAR OF HELL!!! It will be a cold day in Hades before I ever make a dime from my online ministry. I've never accepted a donation (although many have kindly offered over the years and I could make lots of money if I wanted). I do what I do for God. I want the world to know exactly where my heart is at (and they do), that is, in preaching THE TRUTH for the Lord Jesus Christ!!! My full reward is in Heaven (Matthew 6:19-20)!

I love all of you in the Lord, whoever you may be. My life will soon be over and my heart's only desire is that my web visitors might be saved, and then let Jesus live the Christian life through you (Galatians 2:20). Biblical fundamentalism is simply loving THE TRUTH, proclaiming it, preserving it, and defending it! Those who DON'T love the truth will sellout for money. They'll sellout for opportunity. They sellout for the praises of men (John 12:42-43). A true man of God cannot be bought off! You couldn't buyoff John the Baptist!

God give us some PREACHING PREACHERS like George Whitefield, Charles H. Spurgeon, Billy Sunday, Dwight L. Moody, Harry A. Ironside and Jack Hyles, who reached their nations for Christ with the fundamental preaching of the Word of God!!! Revelation 3:15-16, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Fundamentalism is being HOT for God, as He wants us to be, evidenced by this Scripture passage. The critics of Dr. Hyles are mostly lukewarm. They're definitely nor hot for God. The Godless world is cold and most of them don't care about spiritual matters; but the religious lukewarm crowd that straddles the fence are the envious critics, attacking Brother Hyles for making them feel bad about their apostasy. When you're right you're right!!! Dr. Hyles was right!!!

Perhaps the saddest comment of all that I've read from Brother Hyles' enemies is the following statement by a very foolish woman...

And may you completely undo the God of Jack Hyles, embark on a personal journey to discover who God really is and experience a joyful life living in complete freedom and truth.

My friend, you don't have to embark on a journey to discover who God really is, for Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the Godhead to the world (1st Timothy 3:16). Search the Scriptures to learn about Jesus and you will know Who God really is (John 3:29). And may I say, Jack Hyles' God is also my God, Who is the Lord Jesus Christ! Only an unsaved reprobate would dare claim that Dr. Hyles created his own God. It is obvious to me that this woman is as lost as Satan himself. I pray that she repent and get saved before it's too late!

I'll close with this thought for you. James 4:4 warns us that the friendship with the world is enmity (hostility) with God. James 4:4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” The fundamentalist is God's friend. It's sometimes joked about that some churchgoers have too much “FUN” and not enough “DA MENTAL.” Albeit, that is not possible, for a true Fundamentalist is faithfully serving God. Thank God for the fundamentals of the Christian faith and for those courageous men of God who fight to preserve, proclaim and defend THE TRUTH.
