Can A Person Go To Hell Without Hearing The Gospel?

By David J. Stewart | August 2014

Titus 2:11, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”

Yes! Titus 2:11 says, “the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.” Notice that the Bible doesn't say “the Gospel” appears to all men; but rather, the grace of God that brings salvation.

Romans 1:20 teaches that the visible world around us testifies of God. Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.” So if you don't accept the light which God has given to you, then He is not obligated to get the Gospel to you, because you wouldn't accept it anyway, and God knows that. This is why someone who has never heard the Gospel can die and go to Hell forever, because that person rejected the grace of God. No one ever goes to Hell who doesn't choose to go there by rejecting the grace of God that appears to them.

We read the horrifying truth in 2nd Thessalonians 2:10-12, “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Carefully notice that God doesn't harden their hearts concerning salvation. The Bible says that they had already rejected Jesus as the Christ, because they didn't receive the love of the truth, and so now God is causing them to follow the Antichrist.

I am always amazed when I think about 2nd Thessalonians 2:10 and RECEIVING THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH. Do you love the truth? It's not a coincidence that most people are Christians who are awake to the truths of the demonic New World Order, the inside job of 911, the big scam of vaccines, the fraudulent Federal Reserve Banking system, and so many other realities! Most truth-seekers are Christians, which is why they got saved in the first place, that is, they wanted the truth concerning how to get to Heaven and they found it! The wicked world couldn't care less about the truth, and that includes the truth of Jesus Christ, Who is the incarnate truth (John 14:6; 17:17; 1:1-3,14). You don't get saved by loving the truth, but loving the truth will get you to the Gospel which can save you if you believe it (Romans 1:16; 1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

Why would God harden people's hearts to keep them from getting saved? The answer is simply that these people already made the decision to reject Christ. God never chooses who gets saved or doesn't get saved. These wicked people in the future will have already made their choice concerning eternity. The Lord hardens their heart because they won't come to Christ. Please notice from John 3:18 and 3:36 that those who reject Christ are ALREADY DAMNED (condemned). The damnation mentioned in 2nd Thessalonians 2:12 is brought upon themselves by their own sin of unbelief.

The big $64,000 question is are you damned? Do you have Jesus Christ? You only need to receive Him as your Savior to be saved, not Lord or King as some false prophets claim. Salvation is a once way transaction, where you place your complete trust in the finished work of Christ. Hebrews 4:10-11 tells us to REST in Christ, Who is our Sabbath today, in Whom we completely REST for salvation. Religion is man trying to reach God through human effort; whereas, Christianity is God trying to reach man by the sacrifice of His only begotten Son on the cross.

God Didn't Harden Pharaoh's Heart Concerning Salvation

We see this same thing happen with pharaoh in Moses' time. The Bible never says that God hardened pharaoh's heart concerning salvation; but rather, God hardened pharaoh's heart concerning letting God's people go. Exodus 4:21, “And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.” Pharaoh chose of his own freewill to go to Hell.

God only hardened pharaoh's heart concerning letting the Hebrews go, that is, God put it in pharaoh's heart to refuse to let the people go, so that God's power could be demonstrated by the miracles wrought through Moses' shepherd's rod. All that is in your hand is enough for God to do great things, if what is in your hand is yielded to God. What is in thine hand? Exodus 4:2, “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.”

Our abilities, talents, money and education are hindrances to serving God, because we get the glory, credit and praise instead of God. If you want to be used of God, then become a fool. 1st Corinthians 3:18, “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.” Take a public stand for Jesus and be counted as a fool, which is what the heathen world considers Christians (1st Corinthians 1:18; John 15:19). If you want to be used of God, then spend time in prayer, showing God that you need and rely upon His strength and ability and not yours. God doesn't need our abilities; but rather, He needs us to need Him. God loves to be praised and worshipped, and He is worthy. Praise is bragging on God for what He does. Worship is bragging on God for Who He is. Amen!

Beware Of Calvinism, Aka, Lordship Salvation

John Calvin (1509-1564) was a corrupt man, unsaved, who added human effort to partial faith in Christ for salvation. This is where the adherents of the heresy of “Lordship Salvation” got their false doctrine. Pastor John MacArthur is the kingpin theologian in the Lordship Salvation arena, having led an entire generation of pastors into demonic Calvinism (that is, the teachings of John Calvin). Pastor Curtis Hutson does an excellent job refuting the 5-fundamental heresies of Calvinism, known as T-U-L-I-P.

Don't make the foolish mistake of following the beliefs of a doctrinally corrupt man who's been dead for over 450 years. Don't follow Jacob Arminius, Martin Luther or any other man. All men are imperfect. I love and listen to the preaching of many preachers (Independent Baptists, Methodists and Presbyterians to name a few), but none of them can replace the inspired Word of God. Bless God, I follow Jesus Christ!

It is so simple and easy to be saved. Simply believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins, and believe that He raised-up from the dead.

Is God Unfair To The Heathen?

They Knew Not Until The Flood Came

Luke 17:26-27, “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”
