Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
The average person in this world is so preoccupied with their own
selfish interests, ambitions, goals and worldly amusements, that the
things of God have no place at all in their life. And if there is any
religious appeal at all in their life, it is only that they've found an
apostate minister who tells them everything they want to hear; thus,
giving them a false sense of security, as if in the calm eye of a
typhoon. The Devil is a liar and the father of it (John 8:44).
Our text Scripture teaches us not to lean upon our own human understanding; but rather, to trust the Lord. We are commanded to fear God and keep His Commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” This is our purpose for existence, that is, to please God. Revelation 4:11, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Jesus Christ created all things. God is pleased by our faith, when we trust Him. Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” No matter what happens in life, as believers, we ought to seek refuge in the Word of God, prayer and trusting upon the Lord.
It is important that every Christian believer becomes firmly grounded in the truth of God's Word. There's no enough Bible doctrine being taught in the churches today. You can never teach about the fundamentals of the Christian faith enough. I'm talking about Jesus' deity, the Godhead, Jesus' virgin birth, Jesus' sinless perfection, and Jesus' bodily resurrection. God the Father didn't created all things “THROUGH” Christ as most of the new counterfeit Bible versions say; but rather, “BY HIM” as the trustworthy King James Bible proclaims! John 1:1-4, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” Jesus is the “LIGHT” that shineth in the world's darkness, offering the hope of eternal life through His sacrifice on the cross, burial, and His miraculous bodily resurrection three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
Kindly, for contemporary Jews to uphold the Old Testament Torah (the writings of Moses), but adamantly reject the New Testament is wickedness!!! You cannot accept God the Father, but reject Jesus the Son, for Jesus is God Almighty (Revelation 1:8 - King James Bible). Jesus' way is best, because He is God. You'll NEVER hear Pastor Joel Osteen teaching about the Doctrine of Christ. I've never heard any Bible doctrines concerning the person of Christ from Joel Osteen. Instead, Mr. Osteen is a motivational speaker. People need to learn the basics of the Word of God. Martin Luther King Jr. openly denied Christ's virgin birth and bodily resurrection. Mr. Luther is burning in Hell, having died in his unbelief. It's not salvation just to decide to follow Jesus. Jesus said, “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN”! (John 3:3). I've never heard Pastor Rick Warren preach about the need to be born-again! Mr. Warren is an Illuminati infiltrator, who supports same-sex unions, promotes ecumenical apostasy, and teaches Lordship Salvation instead of the Gospel.
We read in the Old Testament book of Judges that, “Every man did that which was right in his own eyes!” Judges 21:25, “In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” This describes the United States today in 2016. People are just doing their own thing. Public nudity is legal. Adultery is legal. Abortion is legal. Homosexuality is legal. Cursing in God's name is legal. Indecent imagery and smut is legal. And yet, look at the horrible mess and shocking crime rate in our country today. Our nation has forsaken the God of the Bible. We are learning the hard way that God's way is always the best way! Everything God does is right! We are admonished in Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” Most people are wise in their own eyes. What a beautiful teaching in the Bible. We are plainly commanded not to be wise IN OUR OWN EYES!!! Billions of people throughout the world live by THEIR OWN RULES instead of GOD'S RULES. The Word of God is our instruction manual.
Our nation today in 2016 is in
moral shambles in the United States. Our courts have legalized murdering
babies by abortion since 1973. This wicked law was perceived as
necessary because of the nudity, adultery, lewdness, drug addiction, and
unwanted pregnancies. This wickedness was inspired largely by the
subversive Communist Rock music of the 1960's and beyond. Morality went
out the window in the 1960's in America! Hugh Hefner introduced his
ungodly Playboy philosophy in 1954, which has ruined millions of
American men (and countless more families because of adultery and
divorce). In 2015 same-sex marriage became the law of the land,
legalized by the feds in all 50 states. This is not the Lord's holy way.
Like rebellious Israel, we Americans have forsaken the God of the Bible.
We have broken all of God's Commandments. Vladimir Lenin's vision of a
generation of youth totally devoid of morals has become an international
reality today. This is preparing the stage for the man of sin, aka, the
Antichrist!
What will it take for the American people to understand that GOD'S WAY IS BEST? Adam and Eve learned the hard way, painfully and regrettably so, that GOD'S WAY IS BEST!!! Jonah learned the hard way, after fleeing from the will of God, and then ending up in the belly of a whale. When God instructed that whale to vomit out Jonah on dry ground, Jonah run his tail off and made a three day journey from Tarshish to Nineveh in JUST ONE DAY!!! Jonah has learned the hard way that, GOD'S WAY IS BEST! When the strongest man alive in the world, Samson, had his eyes put out by the ungodly Philistines, he knew finally that, GOD'S WAY IS THE BEST WAY!!! What has it been in your own personal life, that God used to get you to wake up? Have you woken up yet? Have you truly been humbled before the Lord God of Heaven? Very few people ever have, which is evidenced by the manner in which they live their life. Psalms 36:1, “The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.”
Our nation needs judgment. We need hard times as during The Great Depression. Albeit, if such times happen again today, our characterless generation will rip itself to pieces. During The Great Depression, most people still had Christian character, integrity, resolve and tenacity to tough-it-out and hang-in-there. As one old preacher said while water baptizing a young man: “Lord, take him, break him, and make him!” ...
Psalms 119:67-72, “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.”
Proverbs 3:5-7 tell us to “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” We are commanded to acknowledge Jesus Christ in all our ways. John 5:38-41, “And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men.” If you want to end your life a complete failure, then don't obey the Bible. Instead of being like the Apostle Paul, who said “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2nd Timothy 4:7); you'll fall on your sword with King Saul and say, “I have played the fool” (1st Samuel 26:21). Proverbs 4:19, “The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” They fail and don't even know why!
In the early days, the Christian life is all about obeying commandments that you don't understand. When you first get saved, you can't reasonably expect to understand all of God's commandments. But you ought to obey God regardless. As we grow in the Lord, then we learn the reasoning behind God's commandments. God commands a believer not to marry an unbeliever (2nd Corinthians 6:14). Being told not to marry unequally yoked likely won't make sense to a young person, because they don't have any life's experiences yet. But as you get older, then you realize why God made that rule, when your unsaved Catholic spouse demands to put your children into a Catholic school instead of a Christian school, or your unsaved husband wants to get drunk and asks you to join him. God forbids a believer from marrying an unbeliever!
One look at the big mess in America today testifies that our nation was MUCH better off when our churches were filled on Sundays. God's way is always best. Look at all the destroyed lives of people who despised and rejected the Holy Bible. If you're reading this, it's not too late. God wants you back if you've been walking in darkness! ...
