Oh How Foolish The World Rejects God's Free Gift Of Eternal Life
Eternal life is free for the taking, simply by believing that Jesus is the risen Christ Who died on the cross for YOUR SINS. It's that simple, having absolutely nothing to do with religion of any sort.

Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

I recently watched the 1971 classic film, “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.” I've seen the movie many times over the years and it always stirs my heart, reminding me of Heaven and all the wondrous things that God has in store for us. The movie came out when I was just a young child, so I grew up in that time. My favorite part is at the end when Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe travel in the Wonkavator, flying up through the glass roof and above the factory. And then Willy Wonka gives Charlie the entire chocolate factory. What a wonderful story!

Yet, there's an empty feeling after the euphoria of such films wear off for the unsaved world. Films such as the 1939 classic, “The Wizard Of Oz,” leaves people feeling an emotional high, desiring to be a part of that fictitious world, wanting to find that special place “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” which Judy Garland so beautifully sang about. Yet, in reality Judy Garland was a depressed alcoholic, who died a miserable drunkard's death. You see my friend, the Devil's path of fun, pleasure and sinful indulgence is a dead end. It cannot last forever, but the life which God promises by faith in Jesus Christ can last forever and ever and ever.

The world's dreams cannot come true. All of Satan's apples have worms! Satan shows men the bright lights of Las Vegas, but he doesn't show them the hospitals, prisons, morgues, graveyards and rehab centers. Satan is a beautiful liar! In real life, the Willy Wonka scene where there's a chocolate waterfall and everything in view is edible, was just a decorated industrial factory. Some brilliant man thought that all up in his head and prepared it to make the movie.

How much more can our omnipotent and all-wise God give us all things and do all things!!! Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” I love Romans 8:32. God promises to give us all things, that is, things that are not sinful or wrong to have or do. If it's decent and good, God will give it to you. That is His solemn promise. If God was willing to sacrifice His own begotten Son for us, then He certainly will give us anything else that we desire.

The world's music is also euphoric. I recently heard the song by Christopher Cross, “Believe It Or Not” (the theme song for “The Greatest American Hero” 1981-1983 TV series). The song is euphoric, emotionally charged and uplifting, as are many of Christopher Cross' songs. Yet, after the day is gone, and life progresses, and the world passes away as the Bible teaches in 1st John 2:15-17, what is there at the end of this life?

Gene Wilder stars in the film as Willy Wonka. In real life, Gene Wilder's real Jewish name is Jerome Silberman and he is a self-professed Jewish/Buddhist/Atheist. Mr. Silberman as of 2014 is still alive at 82, but his life's end is drawing very near, and he is hellbound in his sins without the Lord Jesus Christ. It makes me sad. It is sad to think that the loving Mr. Willy Wonka in real life is a blasphemous Christ-rejecter! Eternal life is free for the taking, simply by believing that Jesus is the risen Christ Who died on the cross for YOUR SINS. It's that simple, having absolutely nothing to do with religion of any sort.

Most of today's religious music, known as Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), takes the listener's emotions into the stratosphere, but then leaves them hanging with an empty feeling when it's over. Oh foolish world, what will it take to open your eyes to the glorious truth of the Gospel? God has provided a sinless Lamb as a sacrifice for our many sins. The Lord Jesus Christ died in our place upon the cross! The lame, shallow and apostate message behind CCM lacks sound Biblical doctrine, doesn't clearly present the Gospel and is one of Satan's most effective weapons to keep people unsaved.

Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again! Our churches are filled with unsaved people, and that includes Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches who have adopted the heresy of Lordship Salvation, which teaches that a person cannot be saved unless they first intend to stop living in deliberate sin anymore (which is a false plan of salvation, adding works to faith)! Bless God, I'm saved because of what Jesus did to pay for my sins on the cross, and the precious blood that He sprinkled upon the mercy seat in Heaven (Hebrews 9:12,24; 12:24). The only thing that a person needs to repent of to be saved is whatever it is that's keeping you from believing on the Lord to be saved. Mark 1:15, “Repent ye, and believe the Gospel.”

1st Corinthians 2:9-10, But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” I heard one preacher say that this Scripture is only talking about truths, which the Holy Spirit reveals to us (John 16:13). Albeit, it is clear to me that this Scripture passage refers to everything which God has in store for us.

Don't you dare tell me that Heaven won't be as spectacular as Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, or as awesome and interesting as the place over the rainbow where Dorothy ended up after a tornado took her there. These are mere concepts of men's imaginative minds. Just think what God is capable of doing! Look at the grand universe, the ominous black holes, the beautiful nebulas and the stunning colors arrayed throughout the billions of galaxies. Only a total fool believes that a Big Bang, which honest men cannot explain, formed the known universe.

I long to leave this earthly life and be with my dear Savior in Heaven, and to see all the awesome things which God has prepared for born-again Christians; but until that time comes there is much work to do in reaching the lost for Christ. If you're still alive, it's not too late for you. The choice is yours. You don't have to die as an unsaved person and leave all your dreams behind, you can die in the Lord and then fully realize and enjoy your dreams in Heaven. 1st Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” Lay hold on eternal life! That means if you are saved, start living like you're already there in Heaven. You've got eternal life already if you are in Christ, so live like it here on earth. Stop living in sin. Get busy for God. Start telling everyone how to be saved and escape the judgment of God in the fires of Hell. Love one another. Pray without ceasing. Abide in the Scriptures with the Lord. Be faithful in all matters!
